In a last minute effort by band mates, a frenzy of sms test messages fought for a spot on Joseph E. Bear's phone this afternoon in an attempt to guilt the Halfway Hash guitarist into revisiting his decision to back out of Tuesday's planned band practice. Unfortunately, those calls went unanswered.

Fear of this musical meltdown spread quickly throughout the East valley. It is known, and widely accepted, that this so-called "orgy of musical talent" that regularly meets on Tuesday in the Mesa studio owned by a Mr. Rodney Matroni 50/50, brings several dollars to this once thriving community and elicits a sense of community and social belonging to those within an earshot.
"It really is a travesty," said 50. "After taking a week off, we were really ready to let it all hang out. I mean ALL of it," he added. "People around here were buzzing! The Polish family down the street, the Puerto Ricans next door, even the Johnson's wanted in on it. What the Fuck man!"
It is unclear at this time when Joe will once again tickle this communities ears with his wildly chaotic yet bluesy tones, but one thing is for sure...this week and this community will not be the same until he does.
